I love how comfortable the Matte Revolution lipsticks are, unlike a lot of matte lipsticks that are drying, Charlotte Tilbury’s matte lipsticks are extremely comfortable to wear and super creamy while applying. Unlike Bitch Perfect, Pillow Talk is from Charlotte’s Matte Revolution range. It seems to complement every skin tone but I think it looks particularly beautiful with pale skin. Pillow Talk is one of my all time favourite lipsticks, and has been since it was released. It’s the one I reach for most for every day wear. It is slightly less long wearing than the other two lipsticks mentioned in this post but I still lasts well throughout the day and is the prettiest shade. It has ingredients to protect your lips from UV damage as well as moisturising properties. It’s a beautiful peachy pink nude with a balmy, natural finish. The first lipstick is Bitch Perfect from Charlotte Tilbury’s K.I.S.S.I.N.G. There’s so many shades to choose from, I hope one day to own them all! (A girl can dream right?!) but for now, here’s three of my favourites that I reach for, for normal everyday wear. I love the beautiful rose gold packaging, their lipsticks are super pigmented and comfortable to wear and last for ages without needing to be topped up. My lips are quite pigmented, and a lot of nude lipsticks tend to wash me out, but this sheer, buildable formula works amazingly on my lips, and the colour is a gorgeous natural brown shade. As for me, my number one nude lipstick is the Glossier Ultralip in Cachet. There is a nude for everyone, and in a bid to make that hunt a little easier, we’ve asked 14 nude-lipstick aficionados what their favourite nude lipstick is. The key is to find a colour that is effortless and essentially blends with your natural lip colour. As a rule of thumb, if you’re on the warmer end of the spectrum, opt for a warm-toned nude, and if you’re on the opposite end of the spectrum, go for a cooler-toned pink. Find a shade that works with your undertones. The trick in picking a nude that works for you is " that we choose a shade that's subtle but at the same time harmonises the skin," says Sasha Ghodstinat, Code8 global makeup artist. The quest to find my nude lipstick has come to an end, and I can confirm it’s a good place to be.Ī nude lipstick is what the little black dress is to your wardrobe-it’s a staple, a classic and always the right choice. There has been ashiness and some rather horrible mishaps that should never be made public. Is there anything more satisfying than finding your nude lipstick? As a Black woman, this journey has not been smooth sailing.
